Read the Step-by-Step Guide Below:
All you need are embossing folders, inks, die-cut machine, ink applicator, and a paper.
Let's get started!
Wait! Now That You Have Your Embossing Materials Ready, Then You'll Need To Start Incorporating Them To Your Layout....Let Me Show You...
Start off by getting the embossing folder of your choice and locate the elevated section.
There are actually two sides in your embossing folder: a raised section and an indentation section. What we are looking for here is the raised section of your folder.
You can easily find it as it is the part at the back of the image as seen below.
Gather your inks and pat a generous amount on your embossing folder to create an ombre effect.
As for me, I've got some water-based and pigment-based inks because I want to experiment and see the effect that the inks
are going to create when they are blended.
For the top part, I used a VersaFine ink and used my applicator to soften it up to create a smooth transition for the next color.
For the next ink, I used a Distress ink with the color Warm Lipstick.
What's so awesome about this is that since I'm using different types of inks, they'll be printing differently...thus creating a beautiful combination of color.
Just a tip: make your printing more natural-looking by just dabbing the ink on your folder instead of wiping it, as seen below.
Now get a paper and put it inside your folder. You can use whatever type of paper you want. Whatever pleases you.
As for me, I used a plain paper and pressed it down into the ink while it is still nice and wet. You can also trim your paper with a scissor to fit your folder.
Carefully run your folder in your die-cut machine.
Once done, open your embossing folder and see your wonderful ink embossed image unfold!
Who would have thought that a beautiful layout like this can be created effortlessly?
I really love this technique! It's a quick way to emboss and print inks on your paper at the same time.
